Matsue, Shimane
Matsue is located in southwestern Japan, and the city is the capital of Shimane Prefecture, facing the Sea of Japan. Matsue and its surrounding areas are famous for both cultural assets and historical sites, and many of Japan’s ancient legends originated in the area. For example, numerous stories set in Matsue and the surrounding areas appear in some of the earliest books in Japan. Izumo Taisha shrine, one of the most ancient shrines in Japan, is located in the area. Matsue is also famous for Matsue Castle, which is designated as a national treasure of Japan. Kunibiki messe
APSAR 2025 committees selected the Kunibiki messe as its event location for APSAR 2025. It is one of the largest convention centers in this region, and located approximately 7 minutes by foot or 2 minutes by bus from JR Matsue Station.
